3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Curate, filter, rank, moderate, and personalize your video feed;

— Store and transcribe video content, and generate embeddings, to run AI-assisted classification, transcription, and moderation, including frame-level and transcript-level review to screen out inappropriate material;

— Authenticate you and secure your account;

— Enforce usage limits and operate, maintain, debug, and improve the Service;

— Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Automated Processing and AI

The Service relies on automated systems, including AI models, to convert your interests into search signals, classify third-party videos, and moderate content. These systems are not perfect and may include, exclude, or mis-classify content. You may stop this processing at any time by discontinuing use of the Service or deleting your account. Where we share your inputs, or third-party video and transcript content, with AI or embedding service providers to perform these functions, those providers are contractually restricted from using this information to train their own general-purpose models.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

Service providers: such as authentication partners, AI/embedding providers, and cloud infrastructure hosts.

Data discovery partners: content indexing, discovery, and aggregation service providers used to source video content.

Legal authorities: when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we securely delete or anonymize your personal data within ninety (90) days, except as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Video and transcript content sourced from third-party platforms is retained for as long as needed to operate, moderate, and improve the Service.

7. Your Choices and State Privacy Rights

You can update your preferences in the app or delete your account at any time.

We do not sell your data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not collect Sensitive Personal Information as defined under applicable state law. We use standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at help@yourbrief.com to have it deleted.

9. International Users

Our Service operates using infrastructure and third-party service providers distributed across multiple regions globally, including the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where we or our partners operate. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
